Meta Verification

Business verification, the green tick, quality and appeals.

What business verification is, and why bother

Meta confirming your business is a real, registered entity.

Verification happens in Meta Business Manager, not in VedLink. It raises your messaging limits, unlocks the display name review and is a prerequisite for the Official Business Account tick.

You can start sending before you are verified. You just cannot scale far.

    Documents Meta usually asks for

Something that proves the legal name, and something that proves the address.

Indian businesses are typically verified with a GST certificate, certificate of incorporation, or a business PAN, plus a recent utility bill or bank statement showing the same name and address.

The single most common rejection is a mismatch: the name on the document, the name in Business Manager and the name on your website must match exactly, punctuation included.

Meta publishes the accepted list by country and changes it from time to time; check Business Manager for the current set before uploading.

The green tick (Official Business Account)

Awarded by Meta on brand notability, not something you can buy through a provider.

You apply from WhatsApp Manager once verified. Meta looks at press coverage and public presence, so most small businesses are declined the first time.

It changes nothing about deliverability or pricing, only the badge next to your name.

    Quality rating: what moves it

Blocks and reports drag it down; relevant, expected messages hold it up.

Meta shows a green, yellow or red rating per number. Yellow is a warning, red usually means your limit is about to fall.

Recovery is straightforward but slow: stop marketing blasts for a few days, keep answering real conversations, and let the rating climb back.

My account is restricted or flagged

Appeal from Business Manager, and stop bulk sending while you wait.

Restrictions come from Meta and are appealed to Meta, from the Account Quality section of Business Manager. Include what you send, who opted in and how.

Send us the WABA ID and a screenshot of the restriction and we will tell you what triggered it and what to say in the appeal.

Tell us the number, the time and what you expected. That is usually enough for us to spot it.
